Jura WE8 - Filter replacement

Regular replacement of the filter in the Jura WE8 espresso machine is essential if you want the perfect taste of coffee and a long life of the machine. Filtered water not only enhances the aroma of the drink, but also significantly reduces the deposition of scale, which affects the trouble-free operation of the machine.

Jura WE8 filter replacement step by step

If the coffee machine displays a red filter icon, it means that we need to replace the water filter. If you use a replacement filter, the coffee maker will not display the information about the need to replace the filter, you must remember to do it yourself.

1. Take out the water tank and remove the used water filter.
2. Unpack the filter COFFIX CF201 and fill directly with tap water for about 1 minute.
3. Immerse the filter in water turned top down for at least 5 minutes to fill and vent.
4. After waiting time, the filter is installed in the water tank.
5. Fill the water tank to capacity
6. We set up the water tank with a new filter COFFIX CF201.
7. The screen will ask for "Filter mode", select "No filter".
8. Next, we enter the settings of the machine. We hold down the button in the lower left corner and go to Water Hardness. We lower the machine's water hardness by 8 degrees.
9. We save the water hardness settings.
10. Stand the vessel under the coffee spout and pour a total of 500 ml of hot water through the machine.
11. We take the substituted vessel.
12. The device is ready for use.
13. Finally, we set a notification on our phone to remember to change the filter regularly.

Worth knowing

• Filter COFFIX CF201 does not have an RFID chip like the original, so the coffee maker will not inform us when it needs to be replaced. At the time of replacement, we recommend setting a notification on your phone so that you do not forget to replace the filter.
• It is necessary to reduce the hardness of the water so that the machine will remind itself to descale at appropriate intervals.
• After starting hot water, the coffee maker may be noisy at first due to the venting of the water filter.
• Water filter COFFIX CF201 We replace once a month or every 180L (about 1,500 cups).
